Glazed Stripes
A Knitwear Collection Inspired by Ceramic Art
The inspiration for this project is ceramic art and how high-fire glazes run together to create stripes. I did some research in my sketchbook on the creation process of ceramics. I also collected knit swatches and yarn. I derived a color story from a sculpture of a ceramic horse. Â
The knit garment silhouettes similarly resemble the shape of a ceramic pot. The stripes mirror how high-fire glazes run together.

Etro Brand Study
An Etro brand study was conducted to design a collection of woven and knit garments. Initial research on the brand and swatches were collected. The initial color story was derived from two Italian Renaissance paintings. This is in line with the Italian brand because they regularly pull inspiration from the country's history and environment.Â
Inspiration for this collection came from life in the Italian countryside. Designed for a woman who spends her time sipping wine in the vineyard, relaxing on her boat on the lake, and taking long drives along the coast time. She's a working woman with disposable income and loves the finer things in life.
