I am a student and an aspiring fashion designer with over four years of experience in the fashion industry. I am studying at Drexel University and majoring in fashion design, where I will graduate in 2025. Ever since I can remember, I’ve always had a passion for clothing and all things fashion. As a kid, I loved coordinating outfits and that excitement later flourished into a love to design and create. Designing gave me an artistic outlet to express my emotions and tell a story I would otherwise not be able to do. My passion was strong enough that I knew I wanted to pursue a career in fashion design.
I have been working in the fashion and retail industry for many years. I have experience working retail at a high-end jewelry store, where I learned about the jewelry-making process. I have also been modeling for the past five years, working with various designers and gaining insight into the work behind the scenes. I have worked in Houston and New York, so I understand different markets. I then interned at my modeling agency for a summer where I worked with the agents. I communicated with clients including designers, photographers, clothing companies, and department stores. Along with this experience, I have growing skills in sewing, patternmaking, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Clo, Hatch Embroidery, and Shima Seika software. I will continue to develop my skills through my time at Drexel.
After graduation, I am looking to join a fashion house where I can work with a team and learn from designers who have experience in the industry. Someday, I will use this knowledge to be a creative director of my own international fashion house focusing on sustainability, quality clothing, and couture.
